I Know You
Believe Her
Introduction
There was a small gathering at the Milaap office,
I was present representing one of my clients, " We sell Solar Lanterns, Solar Power and Solar LED,” and so
here I was standing near the town hall, waiting for them to open up. Besides me there was just another woman, a
strongly built lass this one, and I looked at her once and said to myself,”Maybe
she would buy, eh?”
Sailovi
was thinking of her business project that she had spoken to Vibheiko about,
when she noticed this man standing impatiently at the door, I just nodded at
her and could see she was as curious as I was,”You waiting for Milaap,” she
asked me point blank. Well, I was here
to sell solar lanterns,”ahhh well, aam am not sure who I am supposed to meet
here,” I stuttered. She took a long
breath and walked over to me and showed me the form she had filled up, I gazed
at it and saw the project finance had been filled up, what remained was the
exact nature of the project. We got
talking and stuttered through another explanation as to why I was here,
“Maybe you could help me, man?” she
said and started asking me questions on how a business should be run,”Which
business should I get into?”another point blank question shot at me and I had
researched Aizawl enough to answer instantly,”Pigery.”
She smiled back, just what she had wanted to hear
I assumed, and she quickly scribbled on the form, “PIG FARM”
“When
the lights go down in this city, there is still a place I can go have a drink.”
City Of Freedom
My focus stays with Sailovi Chenkual and Group, as they lead me to the water, oasis there
were many here, one particular bar that I had started to favour after a couple
of months was the Sertawk Bar just off the Chatlang Bawngkawn Road, I walked in
today with a smile on my face and Vibheiko in tow. There was a large man, about six and half
feet tall standing at the entrance, talking to his friends, he was
intimidating, Vibheiko asked me to hold back, but I had seen enough of macho
upmanship, I just put my head down, chin up and walked straight at him, a
boxers pose I had learned from my friends in the army, he saw me coming, this
huge bouncer and moved aside instantly. “I
had been down and I have been low but I never give up,”I told Vibheiko once we
were inside,
Sailovi had a Golden Labrador for a pet, and it
was really her guide, often enough when she was lost or became too intense with
her debates, Mischief, came to her rescue, she was smart and savvy and knew
Sailovi’s world well, she had figured out who her friends were and warned her whenever
Sailovi was about to make a bad overture.
I knew this family for over a month and enjoyed their company, they knew
I was here to Sell Solar and were equally curious about the project.
Would it fit in well in a pig farm? could it run the grass churner?
Could this be the city of my triumph after all, I
just had to manage to sell 2000 systems for this project to go up on the anvils
of fame and I was all for fame, socialism suited me just fine, as long as I got
this project on the portfolio I would be happy and money, well I could charge
my client a nominal amount already worked out with Vibheiko, Sailovi and
friends support.
